15. Get to Work Early
For those of you who have the ability to set your own schedule at the office, we suggest heading into work a little earlier. Since the work environment will be much quieter and the office will have less traffic, you can accomplish more in your day by getting a head start.
It’s amazing how a simple change can make such a large impact, right?
14. Manage a Daily Routine
While being spontaneous works for romance, it doesn’t help with productivity. Everyone has their own work routine and developing one you stick to is the perfect way to maintain balance in your life.
While “winging it” can work every once and awhile, we still suggest establishing a routine and sticking to it.

One of the biggest time sucks is social media. It can totally take major chunks out of your work day and leave you scrambling to check up.
We suggest limiting when you check your social media accounts to certain times during the day. This can be a great way to increase productivity and not fall down the Facebook rabbit hole.
11. Keep a Daily Exercise Schedule
For a healthy body and mind, exercise is important. While it’s not always something you want to do, the need for exercise to maintain productivity is something that should be made a priority.
Not only will you look better, but you’ll feel great and have more energy than someone who couch surfs daily.
10. Limit Meetings
Some people enjoy scheduling staff meetings for every little task, but they can really throw a wrench in someone’s busy work day.
If it’s something that can be said in a short email or by walking to someone’s desk, err on the side of less is more. There’s no need to schedule meetings for every little thing.
9. Shorter To-Do Lists
The truth is the longer your “To-Do” list is your likely to accomplish way less. We suggest splitting up your weekly tasks into reasonable chunks that can easily be completed in a day.
There’s no reason to overwhelm yourself because that only leads to anxiety, which reduces productivity.
8. Plan Your Meals
For those of you with a busy work schedule it can be tough getting in healthy, nutritious meals. Therefore, we suggest meal planning becomes your new best friend.
Spend one day a week planning and cooking your meals. Then they are all good to go and you never have to worry about what to eat. Plus, you’ll save money and feel better. It’s a win/win situation!
7. Socialize with Friends
Socialization is key to having a well-balanced and happy life. While getting in alone time is definitely important, if you never go out with friends or spend some time out of the house you’ll find life to be less fulfilling. Don’t be a hermit.
Get out with the bestie every once in a while.
6. Take a Night or Two Off
Some people can’t stop working. They need to be constantly moving or on a project to feel satisfied; however, it’s good to take a break now and then.
We suggest having one or two nights a week that you take off from the craziness of your schedule. Not only will you see an increase in productivity, but your stress levels will come down as well.
5. Participate in Yoga Classes
The Monday through Friday grind can take a toll on our bodies, so why not give back with a yoga class?
Yoga helps increase flexibility, improve circulation and enhances your mood, so you feel better than ever. We promise, you will find that it improves the balance in your life.
4. Find Time to Clear Your Mind
The hustle and bustle of every day life can sometimes make you want to scream. We suggest taking 15 minutes out of your day to meditate.
Clear your head of all thoughts and simply let your troubles melt away. Meditating can help improve cognitive function, memory and productivity, so why not give it a go?
3. Set Short Term Goals
While it’s always good to set up long-term goals, we suggest focusing on short-term ones as well.
Instead of making a list of all the things you hope to complete in a year, why not see what you could do in a month? Sometimes baby steps yield more results.
2. Live Closer to Work
Now we aren’t suggesting everyone prioritize their work over life, but living closer to work has its advantageous.
It means less time commuting and you can easily go home for lunch if you need a break from the office insanity.
1. Prioritize Nutrition
Nutrition is they key to a long, happy and well-balanced life. We all know schedules can get crazy, but try to make foods at home with fresh ingredients.
The drive-through can be good for those super hectic days, but don’t make it a habit. Remember, health leads to wealth.
