Amazing Footage Shot By Drones
Since drones became commercial, they have captured a wide range of images. These picture range from insanely beautiful to jaw-dropping, and there are even some that will leave you scratching your head.
Today we’ll be looking at some of the images that were captured by drones and left the world giggling with amusement or looking twice to see if they saw it right.
Shark Vs. Paddle Board
A man in Australia was flying his drone over the ocean when he saw a shocking sight. There was a man on a paddleboat paddling right toward a shark.
It was clear that the man on the paddleboat didn’t see the shark, and it seemed like the shark didn’t notice him either. Luckily a very dangerous situation was averted.
El Nino Devastation Caught On Camera
A natural disaster can have devastating effects on the areas they encounter. But not many of us get to watch the effects up close and personal.
This drone owner managed to capture footage of a piece of land that was crumbling due to erosions that were caused by El Nino.
The Vanuatu Volcano In Action
There are some daredevils out there who would like to go up to the edge of an active volcano to see what it looks like right before it erupts. However, that is not even close to being safe.
This ingenious drone owner decided to send their drone in instead. And the footage it captured was both fascinating and somewhat scary.
The Eye Geyser
There is a geyser in Iceland that has the most amazing of shapes. When seen from above, it resembles an eye.
It’s known that the human mind tends to find familiar objects in shapes they see, but there are no mind tricks involved in this one. It’s simply a naturally formed wonder.
Gigantic Pink Bunny
Somewhere in the Alps, there’s a farm, and if you send your drone there, you’ll be greeted by a sight that will have you stunned. There’s a massive 200 feet long, stuffed pink bunny lying next to what looks like the barn.
Why is it there? We simply don’t know. Maybe the farmer is just trying to amuse people with drones.
The Big Hole
In the South African town of Kimberly, there is a massive hole that has a surface of about 42 acres and is approximately 1,519 feet wide. What is the purpose of having such a big hole in a town?
The hole’s excavation was started in 1871. It was part of a larger diamond mine that was eventually owned by a group formed by different mining companies. The owners are trying to have it turned into a world heritage site.
The Well-Know San Andrea’s Fault
The San Andrea’s Fault has been the concept in many disaster movies, but why is the fault so significant? Well, it does separate California in two, with one part sitting on the North American Plate and the other sitting on the Pacific Plate.
That’s why California has so many earthquakes. But unlike the rest of the fault lines that sit at the bottom of the ocean, the San Andrea’s fault runs through the middle of major cities.
Birds!
No, not the movie, the actual real-life event. This drone owner wanted to get some footage of the mountains meeting the sea, but he had no idea it would go wrong in the most fantastic of ways.
It seems that seagulls aren’t too fond of drones which is something the drone owner found out the hard way.
Another Big Hole
The Kraken Hole might look like something out of your worst nightmares, but it actually has a very important function.
Based in the California Reservoir, the Kraken Hole is an artificial structure that serves as an artificial spillway. It prevents flooding when the reservoir becomes too full. So despite its mean looks and fear-inducing name, it serves to protect us.
Real-Life Jaws Moment
This poor woman seems oblivious to the fact that there’s a massive Great White shark a few feet from her.
The picture is certainly heart-attack-inducing, so seeing it up close and personal must’ve caused some bone-chilling fear to spread through her. We hope she made it out of that situation without any damage being caused.
A Lucky Shot
This picture is definitely one in a million.
The drone owner was extremely lucky that his drone took the picture right as this Mobula Devil Ray flew out of the water. For a moment, it looked like it was trying to lift off and fly to a new location, but we were sure that wasn’t the case.
The Beauty Of Lightning
When looking up at the sky on a stormy night, we can’t help but wonder how powerful lightning truly can be. Its bright arms streak across the sky as if they’re trying to reach for something.
But seeing it so close shows us that nature has immense power and it’s a force that shouldn’t be messed with. It’s pictures like these that remind us how much beauty our planet holds.
A Halo
There are some places on the planet that are incredibly hard to reach. And when you do get there, you simply can’t get the right angle to take a picture like this one.
We don’t know why this halo appeared to circle this mountaintop, but the drone image taken of it is enough to leave us amazed.
Transylvania’s Winding Road
Seeing this road is enough to induce fear in the best of us. Who knew there could be a road with so many turns?
It’s a breathtaking sight, that’s for sure. With the black tar of the winding road standing out between the green of the trees, it’s a sight to behold. But we don’t know if we’d be brave enough to attempt driving down it.
