Walmart Employee’s Dedication To Sick Customer Goes Viral

Walmart Employee’s Dedication To Sick Customer Goes Viral

When you think of the best places to fall ill, Walmart isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Especially after a Walmart employee died from a stampede of shoppers during their annual Black Friday sale. But for one woman who fell ill while shopping at the superstore, her care couldn’t have been better.

Another shopper by the name of Brittany McKee was in the area when the unnamed woman collapsed, and luckily she’s a registered nurse so she knew what to do. Springing into action, the nurse stayed with the woman until she regained her whereabouts. McKee wasn’t the only one who stopped and helped the woman, however.

A Walmart employee by the name of Jason (we don’t know his last name) stayed with the woman, making sure she got the medical attention that she needed. McGee noted that the Walmart staff was extremely helpful throughout the incident and even called their response efforts “amazing”.

The woman said she had been taking blood thinners and started to feel dizzy when she collapsed on the floor in the refrigerated section. Everyone thought it was a good idea that she stay seated until medical personal arrived, so Jason, without hesitation, joined her on the floor. He got right beside her on the chilly linoleum and literally became her support system, letting her lean on him.

McKee writes, “He literally got down on the floor to serve her, not because he was asked to do it, he wasn’t, but because he wanted to”. She notes that this is a warm welcomed situation, especially due to recent tension regarding race related issues. Her Facebook post has since gone viral, as it seems many share the same welcoming feeling when hearing about this story.

“The media lately shows our country divided, filled with hate and racial tension, but this right here was one human being loving and serving another without condition of race or obligation,” she tells all via Facebook. “What I experienced today was love, kindness, and serving. We are human beings, each and every one of us regardless of how much pigmentation our skin has or doesn’t have” This story represents the type of unity our country deserves and demands.

It’s our hope that in the near future we continue to hear more stories like this that are filled with love, kindness, and admiration for one another, regardless of race, class, gender, or creed.
