If you happen to be a New York City native or simply a huge fan of the Kate Spade brand, then you’ll be particularly happy about the most recent news from the brand. It was a particular day of mourning when Kate Spade put an end to the Kate Spade Saturday store, which was a more affordable version of the brand. However, the company has now taken it upon themselves to reopen a new version of the Kate Spade Saturday store, which has been renamed Broome Street, in honor of the store’s first location in Soho. “This line is a more casual expression of everything we do, and is an entry into the brand,” said Deborah Lloyd, Kate Spade New York president and chief creative officer. However, it seems that the Broome Street line will not be quite as affordable as the original Kate Spade Saturday. With certain t-shirts lined up to be priced at around $65, we can expect the brand to be a bit of a splurge for many of us. The Broome Street brand, nonetheless, is quite cute and stylish, offering a variety of options for everyday looks and practical street style pieces. “As Kate Spade New York continues its evolution into a lifestyle brand, incorporating some of the insights gained from Kate Spade Saturday, we look forward to offering our customer a range of options to meet the casual, everyday, and special-occasion needs in her interesting life,” Lloyd informed listeners in a press release.
