Are you a huge fan of the simplistic and basic plain white t-shirt? We thought you just might be and in that case, you’re probably more than aware of the price range for a white t-shirt. Usually anything heading over $20 is starting to reach a bit. However, the brand Re/Done has recently released the “perfect” white t-shirt that they have priced at $78. When we came across the shirt we became a bit skeptical, what could possibly make this shirt so special that it deserves such a high price tag? Although the brand itself is on the pricier end of the spectrum, a $78 tee may be a bit much. According to the brand’s description of the shirt, “The classic crew neck tee with its slim body has the look of a vintage tee shirt that has been washed and worn hundreds of times.” “We couldn’t use vintage T-shirts because they’re not like a jean,” Re/Done’s Sean Barron told Vogue. “They’re dirty. You can’t get them clean, and it’s hard to change the shape of a T-shirt — too many seams and stuff.” Due to the impossibility of simply reusing old t-shirts, the brand went on a hunt to recreate the texture and look of a shirt that has been worn out. The idea is pretty interesting, however, the price tag has thrown us off a bit. What do you guys think about this $78 vintage looking white tee? Would you be willing to shell out the extra cash for a shirt that appears worn in?
